Dungeons & Dragons Dice Masters: Tomb of Annihilation

Introducing Draft Packs, a new configuration for Dice Masters, offering an alternative to sealed organized play events. The Dungeons & Dragons Dice Masters: Tomb of Annihilation draft pack makes it easier to draft than ever before!

Using the same proprietary Dice Building Game platform developed by Mike Elliot and Eric M. Lang that fans know and love, each draft pack includes enough to field a full Dice Masters team of 8 characters with 2 or more dice each. In Dungeons & Dragons Dice Masters: Tomb of Annihilation, players will be able to collect a party of heroes or a horde of monsters to put against their opponents.

For a limited time, customers will have an opportunity to receive one Dungeons & Dragons Dice Masters: Tomb of Annihilation gift with purchase, while supplies last! Players won’t want to miss out on this amazing special alternate art Dice Masters card, the Brazen Pegasus (Basic Action Card), that also adds new gameplay. Check with your friendly local game store for details.

Keep your calendars marked for the Dungeons & Dragons Dice Masters: Tomb of Annihilation and gift with purchase card coming to stores this fall!

  1. As a Dice Masters player, this is great! Happy they’re doing the tie-in with Tomb of Annihilation.

Some of the cards from the earlier two D&D sets are still being used, with a Beholder card showing up at the World Championship event at Origins this past weekend.

BUT, this is a new format for how the game is sold. These ‘draft packs’ are an experiment, and they’re using D&D as the test bed. While it will be harder to ‘collect’ a full set (for the completion-ists out there) it looks like game store drafting will be easier to get into for an outsider trying to get into the game.

This also marks the first time a ‘full set’ release will not be sold in their random ‘gravity feeds’ – so all the random stuff is only in these draft packs. There is going to be a new Thor set, which will include this ‘draft pack’ format, along with the traditional gravity feed. (gravity feed is a box with 90 foil packs, each pack containing 2 cards and matching die for each card)
