Modiphius Reveals Products for Second Edition of Fallout: Wasteland Warfare Miniature Game

Get ready, Vault Dwellers. Eight years after the original miniatures game first brought the post-nuclear apocalypse to our tabletops, Modiphius Entertainment has officially pulled back the curtain on the Second Edition (2E) of Fallout: Wasteland Warfare.

Announced at this year’s GAMA Expo, the 2E launch looks to be a massive “reclamation day” for the hobby, refining nearly a decade of community feedback into a more accessible, streamlined, and expanded experience. Here is the roadmap for your return to the wastes.

Modiphius is making it easier than ever to jump in, offering two distinct entry points depending on how you like to play.

• Into the Wasteland Solo Starter Set (Q3 2026): Specifically designed for the “Lone Wanderer” in all of us. This set focuses on the core solo experience, featuring a dedicated rulebook for creating custom heroes, battling wasteland creatures, and a clever system for generating thematic regions for your campaigns.

• Warbands Starter Set (Q4 2026): For those who prefer the classic skirmish feel, this set mirrors the spirit of the original 1st Edition starter. It’s packed with PVC survivor and super mutant models, tokens, cardboard scenery, and the comprehensive 2E main rulebook.

Customize Your Hero: New Plastic Kits

For the hobbyists, the first wave of 2E miniatures includes two multi-part plastic Vault Dweller sets.

• Set 1: Four male-coded figures.

• Set 2: Four female-coded figures. Both kits feature a variety of armor and weapon options, allowing you to recreate your specific in-game protagonist with high-quality plastic.

Accessibility via “Encounter Boxes”

Modiphius is also introducing Encounter Boxes to retail. These sets contain pre-assembled PVC models themed around specific regional threats or factions. These are a “grab-and-go” option for players who want to skip the assembly and get straight to the tactical combat.

Mapping the Future: The Wasteland Compendium

Looking further ahead to early 2027, Modiphius will release the Wasteland Compendium. This massive tome will provide specific rules for the franchise’s most iconic settings, including:

• The Mojave and New California

• The Capital Wasteland

• The Commonwealth (Boston)

• Appalachia
