Every gamer needs dice! This is fact of our hobby, we all need them, we all love them. We all have our “favorite” set we use.
The Easy Roller Dice Company, is based out the Midwest in the state of Ohio. They burst upon on the scene and have built up a reputation for quality dice and accessories, so let’s take a look and see what we think!
We are going to be taking a look at several of the offerings Easy Roller has to offer.
First out of the gate, we will take a look at the 21 Count Pristine Polyhedral Dice Pack
You will get 3 full sets of dice and a little dice bag to store them in.
I enjoyed the “feel” of the dice, they are well made, no blemish or nicks. The dice colors “pop” well. Rolls nice on the table.
I’m normally not much a blue person, but the Aqua blue set really stood out to me, the colors are bright and really are easy to read.
The bag is well designed with a draw string, that will cinch it up tight, there is a small tag that has the Easy Roller name on it on the side, not distracting at all. I do have 1 minor nitcpick with the bag, for 21 die, it’s TOO SMALL, it’s a very tight fit, it could be a bit bigger, but for 7 or 14 (1 or 2 sets) it would be perfect size. I’m sure most people will only take 2 sets anyway, so this is a very minor and should not stop you from thinking about this set, I’m pretty sure this is my nitpick and most people would not even notice this (I guess I’m weird)
Priced at $14.95 over at the Easy Roller Web Site
Easy Roller have a few different set’s of metal dice, so let’s take a look at those
Let’s start of with the Legendary Copper Metal Dice Set.
Oh My! These are a thing of beauty, a nice color, a shine on them. and HEAVY. When I say that I’m saying you could probably do some bodily harm to someone. The copper finish is nicely done and the numbers look good. They have a nice finish to them with a protective coating, The numbers are very easy to read.
These dice were nicely packaged in a faux leather hard box with the Easy Roller logo embossed on the inside. They were nestled into a custom cut foam insert and the overall presentation was very well done, and professional.
I did a few rolls with the 20 and I can say they were pretty even in my rolls, you would think since they are heavy they would tend to roll high, this was not case (But then again, we all know my RNG luck) but my rolls were as follows – 5, 10, 19, 8, 10, 3, 17, 6 So you can see pretty wide spread on it.
One NOTE here – if you value your table, or your at a friends and they are protective of their table, I’d suggest you use a mat or an dice tray or something to roll on, since the these things are heavy they could I would think scratch and nick your table. Again, don’t let this stop you from thinking about a set, just putting that out there. I tried the box cover and it seemed to work well.
I took a short video so you could see and hear these dice being rolled, to help you get an idea of what they are like.
They have a good balance to them, I checked out some other metal dice last year at Gen Con, and they seemed not to “roll” I felt like I was just throwing and dropping them. That was diffently not the case with this set, the balance is perfect, and they roll wonderful on the table.
The Legendary Copper Metal Dice Set is priced at $39.95 Order at the Easy Roller Web Site
Next up let’s take a look at the Gun Metal Polyhedral Dice Series: Serpent’s Blood Dice Set
This set is part of what Easy Roller call the “Gun Metal” series.
These my friends are a thing of beauty! The colors are amazing and “pop” out. A very nice gloss black with green lettering (Hence the name Serpent’s Blood)
Like the the Legendary Copper Metal Dice Set. These dice were nicely packaged in a faux leather hard box with the Easy Roller logo embossed on the inside. They were nestled into a custom cut foam insert and the overall presentation was very well done, and professional.
They have the same weight to them as well. When I say that, don’t get me wrong, they are not over all heavy, you can just tell this are not your ordinary dice set. This is not a bad thing at all. They feel wonderful in your hand, after a few rolls I did not even notice the weight. As with the legendary cooper set, they rolled nice on the table and were balanced great.
I did a few rolls with the 20 and I can say they were pretty even in my rolls, you would think since they are heavy they would tend to roll high, this was not case (But then again, we all know my RNG luck) but my rolls were as follows – 17, 4, 12, 5, 10, 18, 1 So you can see pretty wide spread on it.
The Gun Metal series comes in several different colors, and more colors are coming later this summer as well.
I took a short video so you could see and hear these dice being rolled, to help you get an idea of what they are like.
The Gun Metal Polyhedral Dice Series: Serpent’s Blood Dice Set is priced at $44.00 and you can order them on the Easy Roller Web Store
If you are looking for other colors in the Gun Metal Series, Easy Roller has your covered there as well!
I mentioned at the top of this review, that Easy Roller also features a full line of accessories for your gaming needs. Let’s take a look at a few of those options.
First up we have a Dice Roller Cup
The dice cup is a hefty cup. It’s covered with P/U leather on the exterior and has a velvet interior. It also comes with 5 Six sided dice.
I’ll be honest here, and say I have never used a dice roller cup before. So I was not sure what I would think. I liked the way the dice sounded in the interior of cup, weird I know, but it had a satisfying sound.
They cup itself is well made. It feels heavy, but not overall heavy in your hand (I have nothing to compare this too) But it seemed about right to me. It’s a BIG size too, you can load it up and drop a lot of dice if you would need too. I could see how that would be amazing for a mage or something to just load up the dice and drop the bomb when they fired off a fireball or something.
I did not try the metal dice in this, as I was too concerned about the metal dice tearing the velvet, not a knock on the construction of the cup at all! Was just my paranoia.
The dice cup is $12.95 on the Easy Roller Web Store
Last up is the star of the accessory show in my humble opinion and that is the Wyvern Reversible Microfiber Self-Standing Large Dice Bag
One side is a Red Crushed Velvet like material and the other side is a Black Crushed Velvet like material. It’s a free standing bag no matter what said you choose to use. It’s very roomy and well built. has a nice soft feel to it in your hands.
The inside of the bag (black side out)
Here is the red side
Inside (Red Side Out)
Overall this is wonderful dice bag. If you in the market for one I look towards this one as a solid choice.
The dice bag is $11.95 and can be found on the Easy Roller Dice Company’s Web Store
I would like extended a big THANK YOU! To the fine folks over at Easy Roller Dice for sending over all the products for me to take a look and review!
I bought one of their dice-bags when they were first available, thanks to a timely email from them letting me know that it was available via their Amazon Web-store before their main website. For a great deal mind you.
It is great! I really love it, it is an amazing dice bag, and can hold a TON of dice. Plus, if I don’t like the red side, I show off the black side.
You will not regret it, it is a great addition to game night. Plus, sign-up for their newsletter emails and maybe you can score a great deal too.
(wow, do I sound like a shill or what? But really, excellent dice bag, and great insider-info direct from Easy Roller Dice from their email newsletter)
