Cordovan posted on the forums about some upcoming downtime
The DDO game servers will be brought down on Tuesday, January 6th from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM Eastern (-5 GMT) for a restart. This is being done to promote the general health of the game worlds. Thanks for your patience, and we’ll see you back in the game soon!
This of course I would assume is due the issues the game has over the past weekend with servers and logins issues.
Cordovan also went on to say
FYI: The boosts from the holidays (Epic/Heroic XP, VIP XP Bonus, and Festivult Coin drops) will continue until we bring the worlds down tomorrow morning, so enjoy a few extra hours of the bonuses!
