There seems to be a new trend that has sprung up in the past year or so, Adult coloring books. WOTC has released a new coloring book that features all the beloved monsters from Dungeons & Dragons.
The book is 9.80 x 9.90 and has 44 pages, Illustrated by Todd James With descriptions by Adam Lee
Adventures Outlined is packed with some of D&D’s most famous monsters in the depths of dark dungeons. Inside the thick book, you’ll find ettins, grells, hags, minotaurs, rakshasa, even a Flumph! Yes, a Flumph! And yes, there will be dragons! There are many monsters here and should please anyone with the choices that you have to choose from.
On the opposite page of each drawing will be some flavor text from Adam Lee, creating compelling short stories and amusing poems with just a sentence or two. That left me wanting more on more than one occasion, I found my self, just reading all the text as I was flipping through the book.
The art is well done and has a trippy psychedelia feel to it, Illustrator Todd James has brought the world of Dungeons & Dragons to life with his black & white art, that is screaming to be colored however you see fit.
Final Thoughts
This would make a great Christmas gift for any D&D fan on your list, yes we need to be thinking about that already!
I would say this is geared more toward the adults and not so many kids.
