The new trailer for the upcoming “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” has dropped.
A family arrives in a rural town after inheriting a mansion from a mysterious family member. After paranormal activity shakes the area, the kids discover their grandfather’s trove of ghost hunting equipment — a jumpsuit labeled “Spengler” is among the PKE meters and proton packs.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is looking like a very different movie from the first two films: Kids appear to be the protagonists instead of adults, and the film takes place in a rural area rather than a major city. The movie also seems like more of an adventure flick than a comedy.
What shocked me the most was the lack of the famous theme song, I kept thinking at the end, we would hear the first few bars of the song, from this I can say this is not the same Ghostbusters.
“Ghostbusters: Afterlife” is set for release on July 10, 2020.
