A Chat With Executive Producer Severlin

Salt Marsh was too big for an adventure pack
Might be 8 or 9 (SEV guessed not commitment) dungeons.
They realize that VIP should either get:
- a discount on the Base Pack
- or bonus items.
The tech to make that happen is being put in place and will be available to use by the time Mini-Expansion arrives.
So, they realize that VIP needs to feel Mini-Expansion still worthwhile to be VIP.
Also, realize that the LOTR Mini-Expansion was not as attractive as usual and the future could be improved upon.

Hired several techs to deal with lag issues.
Are hiring more people right now.

Mega Servers

- Won’t even consider these until lag is better.
- They tested and the master server had unforeseen issues.

TR Cache

NOT meant to be a LONG Term storage, was never meant for that
They would like to give us better storage, a place we can store all character items (bound)

Cosmetic Bag is very, very difficult because the mirror of glamming links to the real item.

Horse Stable is coming (SEV would like to make it free to everyone)
Mounts are tokens, which put in mount inventory they exist there, so you don’t have to have a token for each horse.
This was difficult but much less problematic than Cosmetics bag.

Hardcore 2021

Season coming up April, then another later not as soon as the last 2

Hirelings AI

One of the issues is Monster and Hireling exists in 2 different systems, SEV would love to do a full update, so players would get more use out of them

4K scaling

Long Term YES they all want it, but UI scaling is hard and would require all artwork to be redone, VERY MASSIVE JOB.

Psionic they still want to do, need to finish up spell work and balance first
Alchemist took much, much more time than anticipated, and Psionic would be greater.
Class balancing is an ongoing process.
Bows required a complete rework of the Bow animation and when it is done the Bow will be in much better shape.
The new Bow tree will be later, and while it will add to the Bow options it is not considered a Bow fix in itself.

Epic Destinies

Epic Destiny will be more like Heroic Trees in function.
There will be a pool of points to spend when you reach level 20.
There will be points earned per each level gained to spend.
You will be able to spend points on multiple Epic Destiny Trees.
They looked at which Epic Destiny Trees are very popular and which are not.
The unpopular trees will be improved.
One of the goals is that through the pool of points and improving the overall effectiveness of the Trees, entry into Epic will be enjoyable and easier

Greyhawk

Sev does not think it will ever happen
Did not want to go into licensing details.

They would love to do more Forgotten Realms

Guild Revamps

Another thing on the wishlist, SEV wants more resources to do this in both games, but not going to discuss anything as he does not want to get hopes up.

New Iconic

Sev Wants this, but can’t promise it for this year, it’s on the table
