Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast launched Avalon Hill Game Nights, a new pilot program for WPN organized play.
Avalon Hill Game Nights program offers up OP events for select Avalon Hill lines to WPN stores. These demo events coincide with evergreen titles that WotC is increasing availability for to WPN stores via distribution. These titles include the HeroQuest line, Betrayal at House on the Hill, The Yawning Portal, and Risk and Risk Strike. Retailers can contact their preferred WPN distributor to order these titles.
For this pilot event, the WPN team will be reaching out directly to 200 WPN stores in the U.S. and Canada for participation.
The first Avalon Hill Game Nights event will celebrate HeroQuest, kicking off on July 29 and running through August 29. During Avalon Hill Game Nights, WPN stores will demo HeroQuest with materials featuring contents from its latest upcoming expansion, Jungles of Delthrak. Participating stores can run any number of events during the event period.
Participating stores will receive the following:
- 1 copy of HeroQuest (for the event, to be later placed in your store’s demo library)
- Marketing materials (a countertop sign, poster, and flyers) to advertise the event in-store
- Promotional HeroQuest dice in translucent green to support up to 16 participating players
- Instructions for how to run the event
