Tabletop Tycoon Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of CMON, Mariposa, and Road To Infamy Titles
Tabletop Tycoon, a leading player in the board game industry, today announced a landmark acquisition of five prominent board games from CMON. This strategic move significantly bolsters Tabletop Tycoon’s presence in the highly popular miniatures board game sector and adds several critically acclaimed titles to its expanding catalog.
The acquired games include three highly successful titles solely designed by the renowned Eric M. Lang:
- Blood Rage
- Rising Sun
- ANKH: Gods of Egypt
Additionally, Tabletop Tycoon has acquired two other popular games on which Eric M. Lang holds design credit alongside Thiago Aranha, Guilherme Goulart, and Fred Parret:
- Arcadia Quest
- Starcadia Quest
“We look forward to reissuing, remastering, and extending these lines into the future,” said Dan Yarrington, CEO and founder of Tabletop Tycoon. “These key acquisitions significantly expand Tabletop Tycoon’s portfolio of games into the miniatures board game space, a segment we believe holds immense potential for growth and innovation.”
This latest acquisition underscores Tabletop Tycoon’s aggressive growth strategy in 2025. The company has been on an acquisition spree, previously picking up the critically acclaimed Canvas from R2i Games and securing the popular Trailblazer line from Mariposa Games earlier this year. The addition of these five CMON titles, particularly the highly sought-after designs by Eric M. Lang, solidifies Tabletop Tycoon’s position as a major force in the tabletop gaming industry.
Fans of these beloved games can anticipate exciting developments as Tabletop Tycoon looks to bring them back to tables with fresh editions and potential new content.
The addition of these diverse and popular game lines positions Tabletop Tycoon for continued growth and reinforces its commitment to providing a wide array of high-quality tabletop gaming experiences to players worldwide.

Attn: Table Top Tycoon – Ankh and Rising Sun are my two favorite games. Eric Lang has done a wonderful job creating excellent game mechanics in these two games. (Blood Rage is good too.)
HOWEVER – The weakest point of both of these games is “Terrible Asymmetric Faction Balance”. I play with a really strong group of players. And we have taken to house ruling the Factions because the official factions are so poorly balanced. Some Factions are just strong, and some so weak they are almost impossible to win with. Now I could see this as a possible “Benefit” because it would allow groups with different levels of players to try to offset that. BUT – If it was made this way intentionally by design to balance play groups, then they really should mention that in the rule book so groups know which factions to assign to the stronger and weaker players.
Now here’s the down side of that – If you do that, then it further removes diversity from the game in that it condemns the stronger and weaker players to playing a smaller pool of factions. It would be better to balance all the factions. Then if you want to have some mechanic to help weaker players, just have something in the alternate rules, where weaker players get some number of coins or devotion bonus to balance the game. Seriously, if you’re going to put out more content for the game release new “Balanced Factions”. (The clans in Rising Sun, and the Gods in Ankh.) It really needs it, badly.
I agree very much, I’ve played Rising sun one time, and did not enjoy to the unbalance… It will be intersting to see what if anything they do with the IP’s.. For sure…
