A Brief History of a Troubled Development

The journey to this release date has been a long one for fans of the original game. Initially announced in 2019 with a planned release in 2020, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 faced significant setbacks. The game’s original developer, Hardsuit Labs, was removed from the project, and a new developer, The Chinese Room, was brought in to reshape and finish the game. This turbulent development history has been a major topic of discussion within the community, but the new release date and gameplay reveals have brought renewed hope for a worthy successor to the beloved 2004 RPG.
