Vampire: The Masquerade – Palermo Conspiracies Now On Gamefound
The shadow of the Camarilla has fallen upon the sun-drenched streets of Sicily. The Gamefound campaign for Vampire: The Masquerade – Palermo Conspiracies by Xplored has successfully launched, inviting fans of the World of Darkness to dive into a new, digitally-enhanced cooperative board game experience.
What Kind of Game is This?
Vampire: The Masquerade – Palermo Conspiracies is a narrative-driven cooperative game for 1 to 4 players. It is not a traditional analog board game; rather, it is a “hybrid” game that requires the innovative Teburu System.
Genre: Narrative-driven, Cooperative Campaign, Role-Playing, Horror.
The Teburu System: This is the core of the experience. It utilizes a smart game board, smart miniatures, and connected dice that sync with a companion app. The app manages the rules, enemy AI, tracks game state, and delivers vivid visuals, sound effects, and dramatic storytelling, creating an enhanced digital/physical hybrid gameplay loop.
Gameplay: Players explore a map, solve narrative encounters using the digital-connected dice, and make crucial choices that shape the fate of Palermo.
The Setting: The Dark Secrets of Palermo
The game is a standalone module set in the ancient, conspiratorial city of Palermo, Sicily. The peace of the Kindred community has been shattered by the mysterious disappearance of Prince Marc de Clécy.
Players take on the roles of Camarilla Archons—agents sent by the Justicar Diana Iadanza with the authority to investigate the crime, quell infighting, and enforce the all-important Masquerade.
Key Conflicts:
Kindred Civil War: The disappearance of the Prince has ignited a dangerous power struggle between two Camarilla factions: the local Geni Malkavians and the powerful Sicilian Mancini Ventrue.
Mortal Threat: A new, highly organized, and well-equipped group of mortal vigilantes calling themselves the Nuovi Beati Paoli are actively hunting vampires and clearing “vampire-free” zones, putting the Masquerade in peril.
Initial Playable Archons:
The investigation team consists of varied Kindred from different clans, each with their own background and motivations:
- Jacopo Vettori (Toreador)
- Evangeline Cross (Banu Haqim)
- Fabian Leitner (Malkavian)
- Nicole Petit (Nosferatu)
