Dark Horse Comics Announces New D&D Comic

Move over, heroic paladins and noble bards. This summer, the monsters are taking the lead. Dark Horse Comics has officially announced Dungeons & Dragons: Total Party Killers, a fresh four-issue miniseries launching on July 22, 2026.

In a clever twist on the classic adventuring party dynamic, this series follows five iconic monsters who find themselves bound by the spell of a deceased wizard. To win back their freedom, this unlikely group of “villains” must learn to work together—essentially becoming the very thing they usually try to eat.

Meet the Party

Forget the standard Fighter/Mage/Thief setup. This crew is a literal rogue’s gallery of D&D staples:

• A Lycanthrope (The muscle)

• A Gelatinous Cube (The… tank?)

• A Mind Flayer (The brains)

• A Death Knight (The veteran)

• A Baby Beholder (The wildcard)
