The new D&D theme coming up later this 2015 is more Drizzt. RA Salvatore DMing would greatly boost the relevance of DDO in D&D, not to mention possibly gaining attention from hordes of his readers.
Would have to be someone who can actually do the job though. Maybe have some kind of voiceover playoffs (?) amongst DDO players with the winner being the next DM.
Now that would be fitting. The ultimate “Powered by its fans” moment.

They can introduce a Riddick-style weapon for fun.
