The new D&D theme coming up later this 2015 is more Drizzt. RA Salvatore DMing would greatly boost the relevance of DDO in D&D, not to mention possibly gaining attention from hordes of his readers.
Me! Or, if not me, someone like me, a DDO player!
Would have to be someone who can actually do the job though. Maybe have some kind of voiceover playoffs (?) amongst DDO players with the winner being the next DM.
Now that would be fitting. The ultimate “Powered by its fans” moment.
Please, Vin Diesel! He is a DnD player.
He will also bring attention to DDO.
They can introduce a Riddick-style weapon for fun.
Maybe some latent man-crushes will fuel the playing as well (Barb players, you know who you are.)
Hugo Myatt (aka Treguard from Knightmare), or maybe John de Lancie (aka Q) for the whole meta level of an omnipotent, all-seeing overseer.
Vin Diesel! He’s a die-hard D&D player (even tattooed the name of his favorite PC he played onto himself), has an awesome voice, is popular in and out of the ‘geek circles’, and is, in general, a kind and awesome guy.
He’s a pure positive to bring on board.
